0830hrs Pick up from hotel in Kota Kinabalu city for about 3hrs drive through scenic countryside to the North of Kudat, passing views of paddy fields, villages, oil palm plantation, local stalls selling handicraft and food items. En-route visit Sumangkap Village, well known for its "Gong" making skill by its local artisan. Proceed to the Bavanggazo Village for your check in to the Longhouse. Built entirely using local materials, it is a home to the Rungus people community, a sub-tribe of the indigenous Kadazan Dusun. Lunch would be either at the longhouse. Proceed journey for about 1 hour to Simpang Mengayau. Perhaps a chance in your lifetime, upon reaching here, one must know that you are now standing right at the northern most tip of Borneo, hence its popular name "The Northern Tip of Borneo". In addition to its fascinating scenery of long stretch white sandy beach, breezy and it’s where the South China Sea meet the Sulu Sea, This tip was widely publicity especially in Borneo, through popular media and the book entitling ’Kudat’ in 2003. After your traditional native breakfast, depart for an approximately 45 minute’s drive to the small town of Kudat, the first capital of British North Borneo Chartered Company, The town was founded by A H Everett of the British North Borneo Company on December 7, 1881 to be the first capital of British North Borneo, due to its strategic geographic location. The oldest golf club in Borneo also found here the Kudat Golf Club, a 18 holes par 72 championship course was founded in 1906.
