Tour Description Duration: 3 Days 2 Nights Location: Keningau District (South of Sabah) Minimum of: 2 adults per tour departure Rates from: RM 1,266 per person (Inclusive 6% GST) |
Day 01 (D)Depart from Kota Kinabalu for Base Camp at Kg Sinua in the afternoon, through winding road crossing the Crocker Range for Kota Kinabalu. It takes around 4-5 hours drive through Crocker Range to Keningau and Sook before finally reach Kg. Sinua by late afternoon. Settle down at the Base Camp and briefing on the program activities will be given.Overnight: Kg. Sinua (Basecamp-Basic Accommodation / Hammock)Day 02 (B, Packed Lunch, D)Wake up at 0700hrs,after breakfast from Base Camp at Kg. Sinua, start your trek (7.4 km-7hrs estimated) up to shelter camp II - free at leisure before settle down for the night at camp site.Overnight: Shelter II (Camp Site / Hammock)Day 03 (B, L)Wake up at 0200hrs, after breakfast start off your journey to the summit of Mount Trus Madi (4-7hrs estimated), the second highest mountain in Malaysia. It is a 4.2km trek up to the summit. Trek through the Mixed Dipterocarps, Lower & Upper Montance Forest. Be enchanted with the wild orchids and pitcher plants found in abundance. Spending about an hour at the summit then start your descend to Shelter II to have your lunch and collect your bag before continue decending back to Base Camp and overland back to Kota Kinabalu in the eveningNote: When climbing Mount Trus Madi, climbers need to step on tree roots and fallen trunks while holding on to anything near them and at certain trails climber need to crawl and dodge tree trunks before reaching the top |

IMPORTANT NOTICE : --Guest MUST submit a fitness certificate confirmed by physician or doctor. --Mt. Trusmadi / under Forestry Department is adopting A ZERO WASTE MANAGEMENT POLICY, in which, for every non-organic waste produced must be carried out of Trusmadi--Guest is to be accompanied by local Mt. Guide (with minimum English communicating skills) at all times and not allowed to wander on their own. Please note that for any activities especially trekking within the Crocker Range, the management will only provide local guide as to caretakers to the visitor during your stay at Crocker Range.It is recommended that all trekkers should have themselves medically checked before attempting any Jungle Trekking. If you have a history of suffering from the following ailments, it is highly recommend that you should refrain from trekking: Hypertension, Diabetes, Palpitation,Arthritis, Heart disease, Severe Anemia, Peptic ulcers, Epileptic fits, Obesity (overweight), Chronic asthma, Muscular cramps, Hepatitis (jaundice); or any other disease which may hamper the trekking.Do provide me the following information should you decided to go trekking at Mt. Suggestion from Alpine Guides Association. The best preparation for mountain on sports always involve good amount of Cardiovascular Exercise Outdoor (running, cycling, mountain biking,etc) and getting out for long days in the hills whenever possible. it is advicable to do your Cardiovascular Exercise at least twice a week with each session being minimum of 2 hours and it should be commercing at least 2 - 3 months before the mountain climb trip.
